Jessica Hoover says: Hi everybody!!!!

4.) 1/2(3x-1) - 1/4(2x+6) > x+1
1.5x - 0.5 - 0.5x - 1.5 > x+1
1.5x - 0.5x - 1.5 - 0.5 >x+1
x+2 > x+1
x > x-1
0 > -1

YAY I GOT IT TO WORK! so excited for algebra tomorrow!

5 [3-2x] = x + 4
- 4 - 4
5 [3-2x] – 4 = x
15-10x-4 = x
11 – 10x = x
+10x +10x
11 = 11x
/11 /11

X = 1

y=mx+b standard equation form
y=(-3/2)x+b perpendicular slope to 2/3
4=(-3/2)(-3)+b plug in given point
4=(9/2)+b simplify
4=4.5+b change to decimals
b=-.5 subtract 4.5 from both sides
y=(-3/2)x-0.5 put it all together
